Happy 10 year Anniversary!
Congratulations to Rebecca Taylor, an Accountant at our Derby office who has recently achieved 10 years service with us. We caught up with Beccy to find out what she has enjoyed most about working at Haines Watts.
What is the best thing about your job with Haines Watts?
- I like being part of the team at Haines Watts everyone is very friendly, down to earth, approachable and helpful from the Directors down.
- There is a lot of variety in the types of client work I do, keeping it fresh and interesting. Talking to our clients over the last 10 years has allowed me to build strong relationships and I enjoy helping them sort out their day-to-day book-keeping queries.
- At the end of the day, it’s the people that keep you at Haines Watts and I enjoy being part of the HW Team!
What advice would you have for someone new to the industry?
- I always enjoyed problem solving and working with numbers - accountancy can also provide lots of opportunities to progress your career, by sticking with the training and exams you get a great sense of accomplishment once you’ve got them all passed.
- Find the career path that is right for you - Haines Watts has given me the opportunity to work in lots of different areas of the business; accounts, audit, tax, payroll, management accounts etc, rather than just sticking to one area - allowing me to achieve a broader breath of experience and work out where I want be.
- There are a large variety of roles available in the accountancy profession and it’s a career path that can offer a lot of flexibility in today’s modern workplace.
