Key dates

June 2009

30th: End of CT61 quarterly period.
Last day for UK businesses to reclaim EC VAT chargeable in 2008.
Annual adjustment for VAT partial exemption calculations (March VAT year end).
Filing date for Corporation Tax Return Form CT600 for period ended 30 June 2008.


July 2009

1st: Due date for payment of Corporation Tax for period ended 30 September 2008.

6th: Last day to file Taxed Award Scheme Returns, file P11Ds, P11D(b)s, P9Ds and Forms 42. Issue copies of P11Ds or P9Ds to employees.
Deadline for relevant third parties to give non-employees information on benefits/expenses they have provided to them in 2008/09.

14th: Due date for income tax for the CT61 period to 30 June 2009.

19th: Quarter 1 2008/09 PAYE and CIS remittance due for small employers and contractors.
Final date for payment of 2008/09 Class 1A NICs.

31st: Second self assessment payment on account for 2008/09.
Annual adjustment for VAT partial exemption calculations (April VAT year end).
Further 5% surcharge on any tax unpaid for 2007/08.
Filing date for Corporation Tax Return Form CT600 for period ended 31 July 2008.

VAT Returns Online - Register Now!

From April 2010, all VAT registered businesses with a turnover of more than £100,000 and all newly registered businesses of any size, will be required to submit their VAT returns online and pay any VAT due electronically. If you are not yet set up to submit online you should consider doing so as soon as possible to ensure that you and your systems are ready for the new requirements next year.
