Forensic Services

The Forensic Service is best suited to overhead spend categories which entail one of the following:

(i) large annual expenditure (typically £50,000+)
(ii) those areas not covered by the Purchasing Poolcore (direct) spend items.

The service is subject to a simple contract and is designed to deliver optimum impact in terms of price and service levels following a comprehensive review conducted by one of our industry specialists. Savings can be as high as 50%, depending on the nature of the category undertaken.

The process is deliberately simple:

1. We gather data from your records so as to benchmark existing unit prices and service levels. We also talk to the budget-holders in your organisation, so as to be certain that we fully understand your current situation and what your expectations of any improved supply agreement will be.

2. Once the data gathering process is complete, we then carry out a full independent market review. We identify potential new suppliers and enter into a rigorous negotiation process with them, using sophisticated procurement tools and techniques.

3. We deliver to you our Recommendations Report, which provides a comprehensive summary of the market review undertaken and makes recommendations as to which supplier to engage on the basis of commitments received in terms of price, service and product quality.

4. Once you have confirmed which supplier to engage, we facilitate your introduction to the new supplier and work with you in managing the implementation process, prior to handing back the day-to-day transactional relationship to you.

5. In the unlikely event of any concerns you may have during the course of your relationship with the new supplier, we will assist you in resolving these promptly and efficiently.

The Forensic Service is subject to a fee in the form of a percentage of the savings achieved over a limited time period. This fee is contingent upon the results delivered: if no savings are achieved or the supply agreement we negotiate on your behalf does not meet the requirements agreed with you in stage one above, there will be no fee.
